The District Chief Executive for Anloga, Hon. Sandra Seyram Kpedor, says the Anloga District Assembly will fully support a strategic renewable energy project being proposed by the Volta River Authority in the district.

Hon. Kpedor received a team of engineers from VRA, led by Madam Rhodda Arthur, Principal Community Relations Officer, together with consultants. The meeting focused on wind power generation in three communities within the District.
According to feasibility studies conducted in 2012/2013, the project is expected to generate 75 megawatts of electricity when fully implemented and completed.
“I commended the team for their continued partnership with the Anloga District Assembly in promoting development and assured them of the Assembly’s full collaboration and support for the successful implementation of this important project,” Hon. Kpedor stated.
The DCE noted that the project aligns with government efforts to expand renewable energy and create jobs for residents in the coastal area.
