Ada, Sept. 27, 24HourNews – Vodza Iron Breakers of Zone 2 have been crowned champions of the 2025 Ghana Beach Soccer Premier League after a commanding 4-1 victory over Sea Sharks of Zone 1 in the grand finale at the Ada Beach Soccer Arena on Saturday.
The victory marks a historic moment for the Volta Region-based club and for Zone 2, as it becomes the third consecutive time a Zone 2 team has won the national title, underlining the zone’s dominance in Ghana beach soccer.
From the blast of the whistle, Vodza Iron Breakers showed intent. Their attacking flair, quick passing and experience on sand proved too much for Sea Sharks, who struggled to contain the relentless pressure from the Keta-based side.
Despite a spirited fight in the first period, Sea Sharks could not match the firepower of Iron Breakers. The Keta side led 2-0 at the end of the first period and extended it to 4-1 at full time to lift the coveted trophy.
The win sparked wild jubilation among fans from Vodza and Keta who travelled to Ada to support their team.
In an individual triumph to complete a perfect day for Vodza, talismanic striker Wise Nyamadi was crowned Top Scorer, Goal King of Zone 2.
Nyamadi, who is also striker for the Ghana National Beach Soccer Team, the Black Sharks, was in lethal form throughout the season, finishing as the zone’s highest goal scorer and proving why he is regarded as one of the best attackers on sand in the country.
Speaking after the game, the Vodza Iron Breakers technical team dedicated the trophy to the people of Keta and the entire Volta Region, saying the victory is motivation to continue developing beach soccer talent in the area.
For Sea Sharks of Zone 1, it was a painful defeat in the final, but their journey to the finale remains commendable.
The 2025 Beach Soccer Premier League has once again showcased the growth of beach soccer in Ghana, with Zone 2 firmly establishing itself as the powerhouse of the sport.
