Government Is Sponsoring Ghana Premier League – Sports Minister Kofi Adams  

Accra, Sept. 24, 24HourNews – The Minister for Sports and Recreation, Hon. Kofi Adams, has disclosed that the Government is sponsoring the Ghana Premier League.

According to the Minister, the move is part of government’s renewed commitment to revamp domestic football and make the local league more attractive and financially viable.

“The Government is sponsoring the Ghana Premier League,” Hon. Kofi Adams stated.

He explained that the sponsorship package is aimed at supporting clubs, improving the organization of the league, and enhancing the overall quality of competition.

Hon. Adams noted that government recognizes the critical role of football in youth development, job creation, and national cohesion, hence the need to invest directly in the topflight league.

He assured that further details regarding the sponsorship package and its implementation will be communicated in due course, as government continues to collaborate with the Ghana Football Association and other stakeholders to uplift Ghana football.

The announcement has been welcomed by football enthusiasts who have long called for increased financial support for the Ghana Premier League.
