Unity In Action: Torgbui Tsilli V Leads Agorbledokui Volunteers In Transformer Move With ECG Support

Hope for electricity is rising in Agorbledokui, a community in the Shime area of Anloga District, after residents and the Electricity Company of Ghana teamed up to move a transformer to the community.

The exercise was led by the traditional leader, Torgbui Tsilli V, together with elders and youth volunteers. The group traveled to the ECG office in Keta to meet ECG technicians and assist in lifting the transformer onto a truck for delivery to Agorbledokui.

For years, residents have waited for stable power to support homes, schools and businesses. Sunday’s joint effort is being described as a turning point in the community’s long campaign for connection to the national grid.

Community leaders praised the cooperation between the people of Agorbledokui and ECG, saying the partnership shows what can be achieved when traditional authorities, citizens and public institutions work together.

“This is not just about moving equipment. It is about moving our community forward,” one elder noted during the exercise.

With the transformer now on its way, residents are hopeful that installation and connection will follow soon, bringing light that will improve education, healthcare delivery, small businesses and overall livelihoods in Agorbledokui.
