Ho, Sept. 21, 24HourNews – An aide to the Member of Parliament for Ketu North, Godwin K. Adenyo, has responded to an appeal for support by final year student of the School of Hygiene, Ho, Agbalenyo Godwin.
In a statement, Mr. Adenyo said it is well noted that Godwin’s elder brother, Samuel Agbalenyo, who is a student at the University of Education, Winneba, UEW, received support from Hon. Eric Edem Agbana under the Ketu North Scholar Programme this year.
He explained that the programme is designed to ensure as many deserving students as possible benefit, and for reasons of equity, it does not ordinarily support two individuals from the same family at the same time.
“Nevertheless, having seen your appeal, I want to assure you that this will not be the end of the road for you. Please remind me when school resumes, and we will support you with an amount towards your school fees,” he assured.
He added that Godwin’s younger brother who is about to enter Anseco will also receive some support from Hon. Eric Edem Agbana to assist with his educational needs.
“We will do our best to ensure that financial difficulties do not bring your educational journey to an end. Stay focused and keep pushing,” he said.
