Ketu North MCE Hon. Martin Amenaki Intervenes Over Blocked Drainage Under Bridge At Penyi – Akpatoeme

The Municipal Chief Executive for Ketu North, Hon. Martin Amenaki, has intervened over reports of concrete works blocking water flow under a new bridge in the area.

Speaking after an on-site assessment this morning, Hon. Amenaki said he has received several reports from the Akpatoeme Assembly member Hon. Johnson Ahiabli, regarding a Chinese company allegedly putting concrete under the bridge, preventing the flow of water.

“I have had a report from the Akpatoeme Assemblyman many times about the Chinese putting concrete under the bridge here to prevent the flow of water. I assured them of my best that I will solve it,” he said.

Hon. Amenaki said he visited the site with the Project Director of Natfem to assess the situation.
“He was very bitter about what the Chinese did and said in their hometown they will never be forgiven. Hence, he quickly asked me to ask one of the engineers in charge of the concrete works that they should use the backhoe, that we are to come and excavate it,” he stated.

The MCE expressed optimism that the issue will soon be resolved.
“Sooner, this problem will be a thing of the past. Thank you,” he added.
