Accra – Aug. 25 – 24HourNews – The Youth Employment Agency (YEA) is set to launch its first-ever YEA EV Delivery Brigade, an initiative expected to create more than 10,000 jobs for young Ghanaians.
The programme, under the leadership of YEA CEO Malik Basintale, will establish a structured, regulated and uniformed delivery service across all 16 regions of the country.

Under the initiative, more than 10,000 electric bikes will be deployed to trained beneficiaries who will operate as part of the nationwide delivery network.
As part of the rollout, EV battery charging and swapping stations will be established across the country to ensure efficient and uninterrupted operations.

Beneficiaries will also receive specialised training in electric vehicle repairs, maintenance and assembly, equipping them with relevant technical skills for the emerging green economy.
The Agency says the initiative is aimed at tackling youth unemployment while promoting clean energy and sustainable transport solutions.
