
Kumasi, Oct. 4, 24HourNews – The New Patriotic Party has elected a new crop of national executives to lead the party into the 2028 general elections.
The elections were held on Saturday, October 3, 2026, during the party’s National Delegates Conference at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi, with over 7,000 delegates casting their ballots.
At the end of polls supervised by the Electoral Commission, former General Secretary John Boadu staged a comeback as National Chairman after securing 2,888 votes. He beat Boakye Kyerematen Agyarko who had 2,408 votes, while Paul Afoko and Sammy Crabbe polled 790 and 41 votes respectively.
In the General Secretary race, Justin Frimpong Kodua retained his position with a commanding 4,486 votes.
Daniel Nii Kwartei Titus-Glover also emerged victorious as National Organiser with 2,964 votes, while Alfred Kwadwo Thompson won the National Treasurer slot.
For the women’s wing, former Fisheries Minister Mavis Hawa Koomson was elected National Women’s Organiser, with Abanga Fuseini Yakubu winning the National Youth Organiser position.
Other winners include Mohammed Ali Surag as National Nasara Organiser and Dennis Edward Miracles Aboagye who went unopposed as National Communications Director.
The vice chairmanship positions went to Kwadwo Fosu Boadu, known as Kojo Bamba, as First Vice Chairman, Henry Nana Boakye, popularly called Nana B, as Second Vice Chairman, and Nana Akomea as Third Vice Chairman.
All newly elected executives have been sworn into office and are expected to immediately take charge of reorganizing the party as it strategizes for the 2028 polls.
