NHIA Holds Dissemination Workshop On New Medium Term Strategic Plan  

Accra, Sept. 30, 24HourNews – The National Health Insurance Authority has held a dissemination workshop on its new Medium Term Strategic Plan for 2026 to 2028.

The plan is themed Innovation for Universal Health Coverage.

The Deputy Chief Executive of the NHIA, Dr Senanu Kwesi Djokoto, who participated in the workshop, said strategic planning is the bedrock of institutional advancement.

According to him, the new plan sets clear targets for the Authority, including achieving 80 percent population coverage, eliminating unauthorised charges, attaining a medical loss ratio of 80:20, digitalising 80 percent of operations and improving institutional performance by at least 80 percent.

He noted that the NHIA is charting a path to sustainability and universal health coverage through these goals.

Speaking on behalf of Executive Management, Dr Djokoto urged all directorates of the Authority to align their work with the objectives of the strategic plan.

He stressed that collective commitment to planning and execution will secure the future of the Scheme and help deliver equitable healthcare for all Ghanaians.

The workshop forms part of efforts by the NHIA to ensure that staff and stakeholders understand and embrace the new strategic direction of the Authority.
