London, Sept. 27, 24HourNews – Volta Regional Council of State Member, Gabriel Kwamigah-Atokple Tanko, has been appointed as Patron of the Aldershot Branch of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) UK and Ireland Chapter.
The announcement was made by the executives of the Aldershot Branch, who said the appointment is in recognition of his unwavering commitment, mentorship and continuous financial and moral support to the party and its diaspora structures.
According to the branch, Mr. Kwamigah-Atokple has over the years distinguished himself as a true party man, a unifier and a father figure who has always availed himself for the growth and well-being of the NDC both in Ghana and abroad.
Mr. Kwamigah-Atokple, who is the Dufia of Nogokpo and a respected entrepreneur and statesman, currently serves as the Volta Regional representative on the Council of State. He is widely respected for his philanthropic works, youth empowerment initiatives and strong grassroots connection.
The Aldershot Branch, which is one of the most vibrant and active branches under the NDC UK and Ireland Chapter, noted that his new role as Patron will be crucial in providing strategic direction, wise counsel and motivation to members.
In a statement, the branch leadership said they are honoured to have a man of his calibre as their Patron and are confident that his experience in leadership and governance will help position the branch for greater achievements.
They further expressed optimism that his patronage will strengthen the bond between the diaspora and the party at home, especially as the party works to deliver on its Reset Agenda under President John Dramani Mahama.
Mr. Kwamigah-Atokple is expected to be officially introduced to the branch in the coming weeks and will play a key advisory role in its activities, including mobilization, fundraising and community engagement.
