Nukunu FC Hold Nania FC In UMB Division One League Opener

Accra, Sept. 21, 24HourNews – Volta Region side Nukunu FC began their UMB Division One League campaign with a hard-fought away draw against Nania FC in Accra.

The encounter, played in Accra, was Nukunu FC’s first-ever game in the UMB Division One League. Despite being debutants, the Volta-based club displayed impressive football discipline, tactical awareness and composure against a well-established Accra side.

Nania FC dominated possession at certain stages of the game, but Nukunu FC remained organized at the back and frustrated their hosts with solid defensive play. Though they lacked sharpness in the final third, they stood toe-to-toe with the Accra-based team and picked up a valuable point away from home.

The result is a major morale booster for Nukunu FC as they look to make their mark in Zone Three of the competition.

Focus will now shift to their second game of the season, a home clash against Golden Kicks FC at Akatsi this weekend, where they will be chasing their first victory in front of their home fans.
