PMs, DDPHs And DDCCs Urged To Break Silos For Coordinated Health Service Delivery  

Koforidua, Sept. 18, 24HourNews – The Deputy Director-General of the Ghana Health Service, Dr. Caroline Reindorf Amissah, has called on Programme Managers (PMs), Deputy Directors of Public Health (DDPHs) and Deputy Directors of Clinical Care (DDCCs) to break down silos and strengthen collaboration between public health and clinical care.

Speaking at a meeting in Koforidua, Dr. Amissah stressed that coordinated planning, effective data use and joint action are critical to preventing and responding to health challenges across the country.

She noted that fragmented approaches between public health and clinical care continue to hinder effective service delivery, and urged regional and district health teams to adopt integrated strategies that ensure seamless care for patients and communities.

According to her, stronger collaboration will not only improve disease prevention and control efforts but will also enhance quality of care, resource utilization and overall health outcomes.

The call forms part of ongoing efforts by the Ghana Health Service to promote synergy, accountability and efficiency in the health system through improved teamwork and coordination at all levels.
