GNFS Inaugurates 11-Member Board of Trustees for Globalnet Foundation.

 

Kumasi – Aug. 29 – 24HourNews – The Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) has inaugurated an 11-member Board of Trustees for the Globalnet Foundation.

The ceremony was held on Thursday, August 27, 2026, at Jofel Catering Services in Kumasi, Ashanti Region.

The Board was inaugurated by DCFO Henry Fatai Giwah, who represented the Chief Fire Officer. In his address, DCFO Giwah charged members to discharge their duties diligently to achieve the aims of the Foundation.

In attendance were the Ashanti Regional Fire Commander, ACFO I Peter Tetteh, founder of Globalnet Foundation, Collins Nanaba Osei Tutu, and Nana Karikari (Adumhene Kyeame), who represented the Advisor to the Foundation, Nana Professor Oheneba Boachie-Adjei Woahene II, Oheneba Hiahene.

The Globalnet Foundation is a non-governmental organisation whose core mandate is to solicit support and funds from the general public, individuals, traditional leaders and philanthropists to assist the GNFS with firefighting tools, equipment and fire tenders to help save lives and property.

The formation of the Board is expected to strengthen the Foundation’s operations and enhance its support to the Ghana National Fire Service.
