Keta – Aug. 28 – 24HourNews – Aspiring Executive Member of the Keta Constituency, Bright Martins Kwasi Attigah, has declared his intention to contest for an Executive Member position in the constituency.
In a declaration statement anchored on Service, Engagement, Renewal and Progress, Mr. Attigah said his decision is driven by a desire to serve and to ensure that the party leadership remains connected to the people at the grassroots.
According to him, his intention is not simply to occupy a position but to serve, listen, engage and help build a constituency where every member feels valued.
He noted that leadership begins with service, adding that branches and grassroots members are the foundation of the party’s achievements. He therefore called for a party structure that remains visible, responsive and engaging throughout the year, not only during elections.
Mr. Attigah stressed the need for a party that listens, where members have opportunities to express concerns, contribute ideas and participate meaningfully in the affairs of the party.
He also pledged to champion a stronger voice for the youth, describing them as an important part of the party’s present and not just its future. He said he will push initiatives such as mentorship, skills development, leadership opportunities, digital engagement and meaningful participation in decision-making to make young members feel more connected.
Touching on unity, the aspirant said Keta Constituency is made up of people with different experiences, talents and perspectives, and he intends to contribute to a culture of inclusiveness and mutual respect.
He further advocated for a move from mobilisation to meaningful engagement, with more active branches, strengthened communication and community-focused activities that make membership meaningful.
“My aspiration is to help build a Keta Constituency where the grassroots are respected, the youth are empowered, members are engaged and the party remains strong even beyond election periods,” he said.
Mr. Attigah added: “This is not just a declaration to contest. It is a declaration to serve.”
