UG Mathematics Students Win Most Innovative Research Award At SEDRC 2026.

 

Accra – Aug. 28 – 24HourNews – Five Level 400 Mathematics Education students from the Department of Teacher Education, School of Education and Leadership (SEL), College of Education, University of Ghana, have won international recognition at the 15th Sustainable Education and Development Research Conference (SEDRC 2026).

The team won the “Most Innovative Research of the Year” award for their innovative QR Code Smart Attendance system, a solution designed to make attendance management faster and easier, particularly in large lecture classes.

Their achievement is a proud reflection of what happens when STEM, creativity and student-led innovation come together.
