UCC Hospital Receives Medical Equipment Donation From UK, US-Based Family

Cape Coast – Aug. 28 – 24HourNews – The University of Cape Coast (UCC) Hospital has received a donation of medical and mobility equipment from a family based in the United Kingdom and the United States who wish to remain anonymous.

The family donated through the Lake Missionary and Charity Foundation, founded by Mr. Anthony Kojo Bempong.

The items included hospital beds, wheelchairs for adults and children, foldable walkers, crutches, plastic basins, bed rails, metal bed frames, and folded metal frames aimed at improving patient comfort and mobility at the facility.

Speaking at the short presentation ceremony, Mr. Anthony Kojo Bempong, the charity’s founder, said the organization is guided by a commitment to helping people in need and supporting healthcare delivery, especially in educational institutions.

Receiving the items, the Director of the Directorate of University Health Service (DUHS), Dr. James Kojo Prah, expressed profound gratitude to the anonymous donors and the Foundation for the kind gesture.

He assured them that the equipment would be put to good use to benefit patients and improve healthcare services at the hospital.

Dr. Prah also encouraged the family to continue with its philanthropic endeavours and called on other benevolent individuals and organisations to emulate the gesture.
