
Nsawam – Aug. 27 – 24HourNews – Students of the Military Police Advance Course 1-2026 from the Ghana Military Police Training School, Burma Camp, have undertaken an educational and sensitisation tour of the Nsawam Medium Security Prison.
The tour was aimed at deepening their understanding of crime prevention, correctional administration and rehabilitation.
The delegation, comprising 37 students, was led by Captain Osei Wusu. The visit was facilitated by DSP Richmond Akoto and DSP Prince Ofusuhene, who took the students through educational and sensitisation sessions focused on crime prevention, the role of the Ghana Prisons Service and the importance of rehabilitation in the criminal justice system.

The Eastern Regional Commander and Officer-in-Charge of the facility, DDP Patrick Thomas Seidu, was present during the visit.
The students also had a guarded tour of the facility, where they were exposed to selected operational areas and gained first-hand insight into the management of inmates, security procedures and the various rehabilitation activities undertaken at the facility.

As part of the visit, the students demonstrated their commitment to inmate welfare by donating sachets of water, fruits and packs of toilet rolls to the facility.
