Ketu North MP’s Accountability Series Heads to Dekpor This Sunday Evening

Dekpor – Aug. 27 – 24HourNews – The Member of Parliament for Ketu North, Hon. Eric Edem Agbana, is set to storm Dekpor this Sunday evening with his widely acclaimed Accountability Series.

The engagement, slated for Sunday, August 31, 2026 at 6:00 PM at Dekpor, is part of a constituency-wide tour by the MP to render accounts of his stewardship and deepen direct interaction with the people he represents.

The Accountability Series has become one of the defining features of Hon. Agbana’s first term, moving away from the usual distant leadership style to a more open, participatory and transparent approach. At each stop, the MP provides detailed updates on his work both in Parliament and within the constituency.

For the Dekpor edition, organizers say residents should expect comprehensive updates on education support packages, including scholarships and learning materials for students, health outreach programmes, efforts to improve access to potable water, youth skills training and employment facilitation, as well as lobbying for road and other infrastructure projects.

Beyond presenting his report, the MP is also expected to use the evening to listen. A major part of the programme will be an open forum where chiefs, assembly members, opinion leaders, youth groups, women groups, farmers, artisans and ordinary constituents will have the floor to ask questions, raise community challenges and propose ideas for development.

Organizers explained that the decision to hold this edition in the evening is strategic, to enable farmers, traders, market women and workers who are occupied during the day to attend without disrupting their livelihoods.

The previous editions held in Dzodze, Tadzewu, Penyi and other communities attracted large crowds and generated positive feedback, with many constituents praising the MP for bringing governance to their doorstep.

Residents of Dekpor and adjoining communities such as Dzodze, Penyi, Weta, Afife, Ohawu, Ehie and surrounding villages are therefore encouraged to attend in their numbers to make the Sunday evening encounter impactful.
