Ketu North Assembly Begins Drilling of 10 Boreholes; MCE Visits Kasu as Work Commences

Ketu North – Aug. 27 – 24HourNews – The Ketu North Municipal Assembly has commenced the drilling of 10 boreholes across the municipality to address the water needs of residents.

The exercise, which began this week, is expected to continue into next week and will cover communities that have been in dire need of potable water.

As part of the exercise, the Municipal Chief Executive, Hon. Rev. Martin Amenaki on Wednesday morning, visited Kasu community where drilling works have officially commenced.

The visit drew chiefs, community opinion leaders, women and youth who could not hide their excitement over the project. According to residents, the community has for years struggled to access clean drinking water.

Interacting with the MCE, the chiefs and residents expressed profound gratitude to the Assembly and government for the intervention, noting that the borehole will not only provide drinking water but also improve sanitation, health and overall wellbeing.

The MCE said the project underscores his leadership’s commitment to listening to the people and responding to their needs.

He assured that the current exercise is just the beginning, as the Assembly has mapped out several other communities to benefit from similar interventions to ensure no community is left behind in access to safe and clean water.

Hon. Amenaki commended the technical team on the ground for their dedication and urged beneficiary communities to own and properly maintain the facilities upon completion.
