Ketu South MP Dzifa Gomashie Donates GH¢22,500 To Boost Youth Sports.

Accra – Aug. 26 – 24HourNews – The Member of Parliament for Ketu South and Minister for Tourism, Culture and Creative Arts, Hon. Abla Dzifa Gomashie, has donated GH¢22,500 to support youth sports development in the municipality.

The donation was made in response to appeals from two local institutions involved in youth sports activities.

Out of the total amount, GH¢10,000 was presented to the Ketu South Municipal Education Directorate to facilitate its participation in the 2026 Inter-District Sports Festival.

The remaining GH¢12,500 went to the Ketu South Municipal Football Association to support its campaign in the upcoming District U-17 Football Tournament.

In a statement issued by her aide and Deputy Communications Officer for Ketu South, David Doe, on August 25, 2026, Hon. Gomashie said the support underscores her commitment to nurturing young talents and promoting sports as a tool for youth development.

She noted that investing in sports not only helps unearth talents but also instills discipline, teamwork and a sense of purpose among young people.

The beneficiary institutions have expressed gratitude to the MP for the timely intervention, describing it as a major boost to their preparations and an encouragement for young athletes in the area.

Hon. Gomashie has over the years championed various initiatives aimed at youth empowerment, education and cultural development in Ketu South.
