Keta MP Leads Delegation To Indian High Commission To Revive Partnership For Hospital Centenary.  

 

Accra – Aug. 25 – 24HourNews – The Member of Parliament for Keta, Hon. Dzudzorli Kwame Gakpey, has led a delegation from the Keta Municipal Hospital on a courtesy visit to the Indian High Commission in Accra.

 

The delegation was received on Thursday, August 20, 2026, by the Indian High Commissioner to Ghana, H.E. Surinder Bhagat.

 

According to the MP, discussions focused on reviving the longstanding partnership between India and the Keta Municipal Hospital, with particular emphasis on modernising and re-equipping the Narasimha Rao Eye Clinic as the hospital prepares to mark its Centenary Anniversary in October 2026.

The meeting also explored opportunities for scholarships, staff training and exchange programmes, as well as cooperation in the areas of ICT, education, agriculture and tourism.

 

Hon. Gakpey expressed appreciation to the High Commissioner for his positive response and commitment to explore support for the initiatives, including a planned future visit to the Keta Municipality.

 

“We will continue to build strategic partnerships that bring better healthcare, opportunities and development to our people. Keta is ready to rise,” the MP stated.
