Black Stars Showed Resilience At 2026 World Cup – Kurt Okraku.  

 

Accra – Aug. 25 – 24HourNews – President of the Ghana Football Association, Kurt Okraku, says the Black Stars demonstrated resilience and promise at the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

 

According to him, Ghana’s progress to the second round after facing some of the world’s strongest teams in the tournament co-hosted by the USA, Canada and Mexico, was commendable.

Ghana exited the competition after losing to Colombia in the Round of 16.

 

“Although we had hopes of progressing further, the tournament provided encouraging signs that the team is moving in the right direction,” Okraku stated.

 

He noted that the team’s rise in the rankings tells the story of its progress, moving from being the least-ranked team at the start of the tournament to finishing as the 24th-ranked side.

 

“From being the least-ranked team before the start of the tournament to the 24th-ranked team at the end speaks volumes of the promise in this team,” he added.
