Keta: Senanu Dekutse Supports Farmers With 500 Bags Of Fertilizer After Flood Losses

Keta – Aug. 23 – 24HourNews – Incoming Keta Constituency Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Francis Senanu Dekutse, has extended support to farmers in the constituency with an additional 500 bags of fertilizer.

The intervention was made during a constituency-wide familiarization tour where he met with NDC branch executives.

The tour, according to him, was to appreciate branch executives for their dedication to the party and to welcome newly elected executives into the grassroots fold.

This latest distribution brings to 1,000 the total number of fertilizer bags donated by Mr. Dekutse in recent weeks. The first 500 bags had already been distributed to farmers, but heavy flooding destroyed farmlands and washed away some of the applied fertilizer, leaving many farmers counting losses.

Mr. Dekutse said the second batch was to cushion affected beneficiaries and help them recover and continue farming.

He also used the platform to preach unity, urging branch executives to bury their differences after the recent branch elections and work together for the collective interest of the party.

The branch executives thanked him for the gesture, describing it as timely and impactful, and appealed to him to maintain close ties with the grassroots and continue with welfare-focused interventions.
