Lawyer Lom Ahlijah Woos Chinese Investors To Keta With Tour of Strategic Sites.

Keta – Aug. 22 – 24HourNews – In a bold move to attract foreign direct investment into the Keta Constituency, Lawyer Lom Ahlijah has led a delegation of Chinese investors to the area to explore viable development opportunities.

The delegation, from Chongqing Zhanxian Group Ltd, was in Keta on Thursday, August 21, 2026, on a fact-finding tour of strategic economic enclaves within the constituency.

The tour took the investors to key locations including the proposed Keta Port enclave, Abitiakope Pond, the floodgates, the Anlo Afiadenyigba salt enclave, Anyako, Atiavi and Tsiame.

According to Lawyer Ahlijah, the visit was aimed at giving the investors first-hand appreciation of Keta’s vast natural resources and economic potential, beyond mere proposals on paper.

He said Keta is blessed with enormous assets including its coastline, lagoon, salt deposits, agricultural lands and its strategic location earmarked for the sea port project, which must be converted into jobs and industries.

At the proposed Keta Port site, the delegation was briefed on the massive opportunities the port presents for logistics, warehousing, manufacturing, trade and ancillary services.

At Anlo Afiadenyigba, discussions centred on transforming the salt industry from raw extraction to large-scale processing, packaging and value addition for export.

The team also inspected Abitiakope Pond and the floodgates, where deliberations focused on harnessing water resources for sustainable aquaculture, tourism and environmental protection projects.

Lawyer Ahlijah stressed that attracting credible investors requires showing them the opportunities live, not just talking about them.

“This is about connecting Keta to the world. Our people need jobs, our youth need opportunities, and our resources must work for us,” he noted.

He disclosed that the visit marks the beginning of deeper engagements with Chongqing Zhanxian Group Ltd as the company evaluates the prospects and identifies bankable projects for possible investment and partnership.

The visit forms part of his broader agenda to position Keta as a competitive investment destination in the Volta Region and to ensure that any investment secured translates into sustainable jobs and improved livelihoods for constituents.
