Electricity To Hit 10 Communities In Akatsi North As DCE, MP Hand Over Project Sites.

 

 

Akatsi North – Aug. 22 – 24HourNews – The District Chief Executive for Akatsi North, Hon. Bless Kodjo Katamani, has handed over sites for an electricity expansion project in the district.

 

The handover was done on Tuesday, August 18, 2026, together with the Member of Parliament for Akatsi North, Hon. Peter Nortsu-Kotoe.

 

The project will extend electricity to 10 communities and will be executed by four different contractors. The works are expected to be completed within two weeks.

 

The beneficiary communities are Kamiakofe, Tonkor, Atanve No. 2, Boekpe, Enekofe, Byplan, Kpeta, Normenyokofe, Wueve and Ave-Agbozume.

 

According to the DCE, the project is another significant step towards improving access to electricity and enhancing the quality of life of the people.
