2026 Asogli Te Zá Officially Launched in Grand Cultural Celebration at Ho.

 

 

Ho, Aug. 13, 24HourNews – The 2026 Asogli Te Zá, the annual Yam Festival of the Asogli State, was officially launched on Wednesday, August 12, 2026, at the GNAT Hall in Ho in a vibrant celebration of the rich cultural heritage, traditions and unity of the Asogli people.

 

The colourful ceremony brought together distinguished traditional leaders, government representatives, entrepreneurs, corporate executives, members of the business community and lovers of culture from across the Volta Region and beyond.

 

The occasion featured captivating cultural performances, with the Asogli Asafo Group, Takla Jama Group and Kpenoe Bɔbɔbɔ troupe showcasing the rich traditions of Asogli through powerful drumming, traditional music and energetic dance.

 

The ceremony was chaired by Hon. Stephen Adom, Municipal Chief Executive for Ho, who represented the Volta Regional Minister. The event was further graced by Togbe Kotoku XI, Paramount Chief of the Kpenoe Traditional Area, and Togbe Ayim Adzokoto, Paramount Chief of the Takla Traditional Area, who both played prominent roles in the proceedings, reflecting the strong support and unity of the traditional leadership of Asogli State.

Beyond the cultural displays, the launch provided a valuable platform for interaction and collaboration among traditional authorities, government representatives, business leaders, entrepreneurs and other stakeholders. It further highlighted the importance of Asogli Te Zá in promoting cultural preservation, tourism, community development and economic opportunities.
