Accra, Aug. 7, 24HourNews – Council of State Member for the Volta Region, H.E. Gabriel Tanko Kwamigah-Atokple, has called on Ewes at home and abroad to unite and contribute their expertise and resources to advance the development of Eweland.
Speaking at the launch of the Council of Ewe Associations of North America (CEANA) Ghana 2026 in Ho earlier this year, Mr. Kwamigah-Atokple reflected on the values that define the Ewe people and the collective responsibility to shape the future of the communities.

He stressed that the progress of Ewe communities hinges on unity, decisive leadership, active citizenship, and the wise counsel of chiefs, policymakers, the diaspora, and citizens.
“Sustainable development requires setting clear priorities, sound planning, and practical measures in every sector of our development,” he said.

Reiterating the message, the Council of State Member invited all Ewes, both at home and abroad, to continue offering ideas, skills, and support towards the advancement of the people.
He concluded with a rallying call, borrowing the slogan of former U.S. President Barack Obama: “Yes, we can!”
