Access Restored: Eric Edem Agbana Intervenes to Gravel Wuti Junction-Vume Road After Years of Neglect

KETU NORTH, Aug. 7, 24HourNews– Residents of Wuti and Vume in the Ketu North Municipality are heaving a sigh of relief as graveling works begin on the long-neglected road linking Wuti Junction to Vume.

The road, which serves several farming communities in the enclave, had deteriorated over the years to the point where vehicular movement became nearly impossible. Residents said they had endured the situation for years, with traders, farmers and students bearing the brunt.

Following appeals from the communities, Member of Parliament for Ketu North, Hon. Eric Edem Agbana, mobilized road engineers to the area to commence graveling works aimed at restoring access.

Speaking during a visit to the site, some residents expressed appreciation to the MP for responding swiftly to their plight.

“We thank Hon. Eric Edem Agbana for remembering us. For years we could not use this road. Now our farm produce, school children and sick people will be able to move freely,” one community elder said.

Another resident added: “This is a marvelous job. We pray that God continues to bless him so he can do more for Ketu North.”

Hon. Agbana noted that improving the road network within the municipality remains a key priority for him. He said the intervention is part of efforts to open up rural communities, boost agriculture, and improve livelihoods.

The graveling works are expected to make the stretch motorable in the short term while plans for more permanent solutions are pursued.

The people of Wuti and Vume say they are excited about the development and have pledged their support to the MP as he continues his work for the constituency.
