Are We Safe In The Volta Region?” – Felix Senyo Kubuafor Questions Leaders Over Ambulance Crisis

Concerned citizen Felix Kubuafor has called out leadership in the Volta Region over what he describes as a dire state of emergency healthcare, after revealing that 12 out of the 18 ambulances in the region have been grounded.

In a statement, Kubuafor questioned the silence of political leaders amid the crisis, saying the situation puts lives at risk daily.

“A whole region cannot continue to struggle with inadequate emergency services while the lives of citizens are at risk. Access to a functioning ambulance service is not a luxury, it is a necessity that can make the difference between life and death,” he stated.

He further asked: “Until when will the people of the Volta Region have leaders who genuinely care about their welfare and prioritize the basic needs of the people?”

Kubuafor said the region expects urgent action and accountability from the Minister, MPs and MMDCEs to address what he calls a critical gap in basic services.

“What are our leaders doing about the challenges facing our people? Out of the 18 ambulances in the region, 12 have been grounded but our leaders remain silent,” he added.

The concern comes amid growing public frustration over delays in emergency response and access to healthcare across parts of the region.
