
The people of Somè Traditional Area in the Ketu South Municipality are set to officially launch this year’s Somètutuza Festival on Wednesday, July 22, 2026.
According to the Somè Traditional Council, the launching ceremony will take place at Adafienu R/C Basic School at 10:30 a.m. prompt.
Torgbuiga Adama and the Chiefs of Somè Traditional Area have invited all citizens, residents, and friends of Somè to be part of this year’s festival as activities are unveiled for the 2026 celebration.
The event, being organized by the 2026 Somètutuza Central Planning Committee, will bring together chiefs, elders, and people of the Somè Traditional Area to outdoor activities aimed at promoting unity and development.
The Somètutuza festival is celebrated annually to foster unity, development, and to showcase the rich cultural heritage of the Somè people.
The Council has also called on media houses, stakeholders, and the general public to attend and help give the ceremony the needed publicity.
