The Municipal Chief Executive for Ketu North, Hon. Martin Prince Amenaki, has handed over government relief items to the Ketu North NADMO office for distribution to residents affected by the June floods.
The MCE said the floods, which occurred on June 14, 19, 28 and 29, destroyed houses and farms, and left many people homeless across parts of the municipality.

Speaking during the handover, Hon. Amenaki listed the items to include blankets, mattresses, bags of rice, rubber bowls, cooking oil and other essentials.
The relief support was released by President John Dramani Mahama through NADMO following an appeal by the assembly.
“NADMO will begin distribution to the affected people soon. We are grateful to the President for this support,” the MCE stated.
Hon. Amenaki added that the municipality is still expecting roofing sheets and cement for residents whose houses collapsed and need to be rebuilt.
He urged NADMO officials and community leaders to ensure the items get to the right beneficiaries.
