The National Health Insurance Authority has pledged support to upgrade Keta Hospital into a major referral hospital in the country.
Dr. Kwesi Senanu Djokoto, Deputy CEO in charge of Operations at NHIA, said the facility has served the community for many years and is due for a major upgrade to meet growing healthcare demands.
“We want to upgrade Keta Hospital to be a major referral hospital in the country. It’s been in existence for so long and needs to be upgraded,” Dr. Djokoto stated.
The proposed upgrade is expected to expand services at the hospital and reduce the need for patients in the Volta Region to travel long distances for specialized care.
