”Greatness Born in Persistence”: Atokple Salutes WABA Champ Saviour Gad at Weta

WETA, May 7, 2026 — The Council of State Member for the Volta Region, H.E. Gabriel Tanko Kwamigah-Atokple, warmly received WABA title holder Saviour Gad at his residence in Weta.

The visit was for the champion to present his World Alliance Boxing Association (WABA) belt and outline preparations for the defence of the title in the coming months.

H.E. Atokple assured Saviour of his commitment towards his preparation to defend the title and encouraged him to continue to work hard for a grand victory.

Saviour Gad won the WABA Supreme Global Super Middleweight title on April 4, 2026, after a 7th-round TKO of Eliasu Sulley at Aborigines Beach, Keta.
